Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain building systems and common areas at our Mountain View property. You will perform preventive and reactive maintenance, assist in preparing units for lease, and help manage vendor services to ensure safe, clean, and compliant spaces.

Requirements include 1–2 years of maintenance experience, plumbing/electrical proficiency, and EPA refrigerant certifications where applicable.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of maintenance experience.
• Experience in plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance preferred.
• EPA refrigerant certifications (Type 1 & II or Universal) may be required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate property vehicles/equipment where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair per safety and code standards.
• Complete the make-ready process for vacant apartments, inspect pre-move-out, create punch list, and coordinate vendors.
• Manage materials/inventory, reorder supplies as needed, and document usage.
• Maintain grounds/common areas, perform cleaning and painting as needed.
• Contribute to cost control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible.
• Document work completed and update records promptly.
• Follow safety policies, attend trainings, and report incidents.
• Inspect contractor work to verify quality and compliance.
• Assist in periodic property inspections and communicate needs to management.
