Job summary

Signode is seeking a Maintenance Technician II in Gary, IN to ensure safe, efficient production and high quality output. You will service and repair complex equipment and adhere to the Safety program.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, reading schematics, performing preventative maintenance, and updating maintenance tracking. Experience with MIG/Arc welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and forklift driving is preferred.

Qualifications

Five+ years of mechanical hands‑on experience.
Ability to read schematics, gauges, tools and instruments.
Experience with repair and troubleshooting in an industrial maintenance setting.
Welding experience (MIG/Arc) required.
Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic systems and conveyors.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic mechanical systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, service manuals, and work orders for maintenance tasks.
Inspect equipment during preventative maintenance and report findings.
Perform corrections on electrical issues using drives and PLCs.
Ensure productivity and quality after repairs and changeovers.
Update maintenance tracking system and complete work orders.
Respond promptly to safety concerns and communicate with supervisors.
