Job summary

Signode is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to ensure production runs safely and efficiently by servicing and repairing complex equipment.

You will troubleshoot electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, read blueprints and work orders, perform preventative maintenance, and document findings in the maintenance system to prevent downtime.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining electrical/electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, service manuals and work orders.
• Experience using a maintenance tracking system.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Analyze, troubleshoot and repair equipment to keep lines running.
• Read and interpret technical procedures and orders to perform maintenance.
• Inspect equipment during preventative maintenance and report findings.
• Perform corrections on electrical issues using drives and PLCs to protect productivity.
• Update maintenance tracking system with completed work orders.
• Respond quickly to safety concerns and communicate issues to leadership.

Salary

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $32.25 - $39.00 and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. Starting hourly rate within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or skillset.

Summary

The primary purpose of the Maintenance Technician II is to ensure production and operations are running safely at the most efficient level achievable, producing the highest possible production quality. Servicing and repairing complex equipment. Complies with applicable regulations and the department’s Safety program.

Essential Functions

• Performs troubleshooting and repair on electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic mechanical systems.
• Analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment.
• Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance.
• Check and inspect assigned equipment during preventative maintenance. Reports findings to management.
• Performs corrections on electrical issues through knowledge of drives and PLCs. Ensure machine productivity and quality after repairs, changeovers, and extended down time.
• Complete work orders and update maintenance tracking system.
• Respond quickly to issues or concerns that may put employees at risk for injury, to include rectifying immediate dangers. Communicate existing and potential issues with group leaders/maintenance manager.
