MAC Incorporated in Iowa City, IA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and automated production equipment. The role emphasizes mechanical, electrical, PLC, and automation troubleshooting to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

The position involves shift-based responsibilities with evenings/nights, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with Production and Quality teams to improve uptime.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as Industrial Maintenance Technician required.
• 2-year technical degree or equivalent training preferred.
• Strong PLC and automation troubleshooting experience required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience troubleshooting motors, pumps, conveyors, CNC machinery, drives, and controllers.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC inputs/outputs and automated equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and equipment reliability.
• PMMI, CAP, or similar industrial maintenance certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Ability to independently diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs correctly the first time.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial production and automated equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Maintain and troubleshoot motors, pumps, conveyors, CNC machines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot PLC, automation, drives, sensors, and controls.
• Assist with installation, setup, calibration, and startup of new machinery.
• Maintain facility and infrastructure equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
• Maintain accurate work orders, repair history, and spare parts documentation.
• Support and mentor entry-level Maintenance Technicians.
• Work with Production, Quality, and Warehouse teams to improve uptime and plant performance.
• Follow all safety requirements.
