Amcor Des Moines is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure reliable operation of production equipment and support continuous improvement initiatives. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including PLC programming and HMI updates, to minimize downtime and uphold safety standards.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, ability to read schematics, and readiness for overtime, weekends, and plant shutdowns as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2–5 years manufacturing experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; troubleshooting ability.
• Fluency in English; bilingual a plus.
• Willingness to overtime, weekends, and plant shutdowns.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Program, modify, and maintain PLC systems and update HMI screens.
• Calibrate and maintain instrumentation and control systems for accuracy.
• Follow safety standards and company policies during tasks.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and on‑call situations as required.
