Job summary

MITER Brands in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with strong mechanical and electrical experience to maintain production equipment and special machines. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and document changes while following safety procedures.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of certified equipment maintenance, can read electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics, and is eager to advance. Shift is Monday–Thursday, 6pm–4am.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years experience in certified equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Attention to detail and established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Installs, adjusts, and repairs production equipment and special purpose machines, including electrical supply lines and circuits, electrical/electronic controls, piping and tubing, pneumatic controls and systems, and hydraulic systems.
• Inspects equipment for proper lubrication and performs general preventative maintenance duties.
• Learns and understands information needed for MP#2 program.
• Diagnoses equipment operating problems and makes repairs, part replacements, and adjustments, recording changes in logbooks.
• Operates variety of hand and power tools, shop equipment and machining tools.
• Welds and performs sheet metal operations as required.
• Inspects equipment and tests performance of equipment following repairs.
• Performs Lock Out and Tag Out procedures and adheres to safety policies.
• Keeps track of parts used and submits requisitions.

A successful candidate will bring a strong mechanical and electrical background, excellent communication skills, eagerness to move into a higher-level position, and experience in a manufacturing plant. Hourly rate is based on mechanical/electrical experience.Shift: Monday-Thursday 6pm-4amESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
