We are currently seeking a skilled maintenance tech to join our team in Venice. What You'll Be Doing

• Perform facility maintenance, remodeling, and improvement projects, including framing, drywall work, flooring repairs, plumbing repairs, painting, ceiling repairs and replacements, restroom preventive maintenance, and the installation, removal, or modification of interior walls and other building components.
• Perform all work in a safe manner and adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, promoting a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and mechanical systems to identify maintenance needs, ensure operational efficiency, and maintain compliance with safety standards.
• Execute preventive maintenance programs and complete assigned maintenance tasks under the guidance of higher-level maintenance personnel, while progressively developing technical skills and expertise.
• Complete all assigned work orders accurately and thoroughly, documenting work performed, materials used, equipment status, and all other pertinent information.
• Maintain accurate Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) records, including Proteus data entry and preventive maintenance documentation.
• Maintain open, timely, and accurate communication with maintenance team members, supervisors, and other departments regarding equipment status, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and other maintenance-related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, parts, and equipment; provide information necessary to ensure appropriate stock levels and availability of materials required for repairs and maintenance.
• Work collaboratively with maintenance technicians, leads, supervisors, and outside contractors to coordinate maintenance activities, complete projects, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support larger repair, installation, and facility improvement projects as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience performing facility maintenance and remodeling work, including framing, drywall, flooring, and plumbing repairs. Must be capable of independently completing maintenance and improvement projects with a high level of quality and workmanship.
• Technical or Trade School certification is preferred; equivalent combination of a High School Diploma or G.E.D. and relevant maintenance experience will be considered.
• Basic understanding of industrial electricity, electrical systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Working knowledge of utility equipment energy sources, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. PLC experience is a plus.
• Ability to maintain plant utilities, including lighting, water systems, drainage systems, and related facility infrastructure.
• Basic understanding of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment, including but not limited to ohm meters, voltage meters, and other testing devices.
• Basic knowledge and safe operation of power tools and equipment, including drills, cut-off saws, demolition saws, and similar maintenance tools.
• Forklift, pallet jack, and scissor lift experience required, with the ability to obtain and maintain company certification.
• Basic understanding of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) processes, documentation requirements, and Proteus maintenance management systems.
• Thorough understanding of and commitment to OSHA regulations and company safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and other maintenance safety procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, collaborate effectively with others, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and learn new software programs and maintenance systems.

Education / Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical or Trade school degree preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in maintenance or a related field preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move components weighing up to 50 pounds.
• The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Frequent walking and bending are required.
