MI Windows and Doors in Millersburg, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform diversified duties installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment. The role supports safety and productivity in a large manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, documenting maintenance, coordinating with utilities and outside contractors, and ensuring OSHA and company safety policies are followed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 2 years in maintenance in manufacturing, or 5+ years in manufacturing with basic training.
• Basic rigging skills and understanding of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read meters and diagnostic equipment and follow safety procedures (LOTO, PPE).
• Strong written/verbal communication and ability to work independently.

Job DescriptionPOSITION - Maintenance Tech - Millersburg PlantLOCATION - Millersburg, PAHOURLY RATE - $29.00 plus $2.00 Shift differentialSHIFT - 2 days On / 2 days Off - 7p-7a - rolling scheduleMI Windows and Doors is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of vinyl and aluminum windows and patio doors, with plants across the country. The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.GENERAL PURPOSE:This position will perform basic industrial maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities while providing value by safely and efficiently supporting the production team.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:· Maintain, troubleshoot, PM, and repair equipment in assigned area under the guidance of higher-level utility mechanics.· Maintain open and accurate communication with other maintenance employees as well as supervision.· Complete all assigned work orders completely and accurately documenting all prudent information describing the completion of the work order.· Complete MRO (maintenance, repair and operations) documentation.· Perform technical maintenance tasks under close supervision.· Provide all information necessary to maintain proper parts inventories.· Work with outside contractors to complete projects and improvements wherever possible.· Maintain all facility grounds and services.· Perform all work in a safe manner following all Company safety policies and procedures.· Other duties and responsibilities as needed.SKILLS AND ABILITIES:· High School Diploma or G.E.D., and 2 years experience in a maintenance occupation in a manufacturing environment; OR 5 or more years of manufacturing at MI with basic level training in maintenance· Basic rigging skills· Basic understanding of electricity is required.· Working knowledge of every energy source for each piece of utility equipment in assigned area (electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic, etc.).· Ability to maintain plant utilities (lighting, water systems, drain systems, etc.).· Ability to work independently when directed.· Be able to measure, cut, thread, and join stainless, black iron, plastic, and copper piping is required.· Basic understanding of various diagnostic equipment including but not limited to ohms meter, voltage meters, etc. basic knowledge and understanding of power equipment to include cut-off saws, demo-saws, drills, etc.· Thoroughly understand and follow all OSHA and Company regulations as they relate to the maintenance field (LOTO, CSE, PPE, etc.).· Basic understanding of critical maintenance, repair, and operations.· Basic Computer skills is required· Strong written and verbal skills.What We OfferAt MITER Brands, we invest in your health, wealth, and wellness.
