Job summary

Advocate Health’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL is hiring a Maintenance Technician II for the 2nd shift (Wednesday through Saturday, four 10-hour nights). The role requires performing facility and equipment maintenance, troubleshooting a range of mechanical and electrical systems, and responding to emergencies per defined plans.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of equipment maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and basic computer skills including CMMS.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills including CMMS, building automation systems and Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance per codes and standards; documents in CMMS.
• Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs mechanical equipment (motors, pumps, doors, fans, boilers, etc.).
• Maintains patient care equipment (beds, wheelchairs, carts, etc.).
• Maintains mechanical/electrical systems (HVAC, refrigerators, piping, electrical, etc.).
• Performs general maintenance in grounds, carpentry, painting and snow removal.
