Job summary

Insight Hospital and Medical Center is seeking a full-time Grounds Maintenance Technician to perform routine to skilled duties including lawn care, snow removal, and related tasks on campus. The role emphasizes safety for patients, staff, and visitors and requires quick decision-making during system failures.

Responsibilities include handling work orders, coordinating with the Facilities team, and conducting rounds to maintain sidewalks and equipment, with occasional security duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or trade experience required.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Experience with lawncare and snow removal is preferred.
• Strong communication and reporting skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Attend mandatory training and pass related tests.
• Manage work orders and preventive maintenance in the system.
• Coordinate with director on concerns and issues.
• Plan daily routines to meet work orders and PMs.
• Occasionally perform security duties as needed.
• Assist in moving furniture and supplies with staff.
• Troubleshoot, order parts, and repair equipment.
• Operate hand/power tools and perform minor electrical checks.
• Inspect sprinkler systems and labeling of chemicals.
• Report hazards and equipment issues to Facilities.
• Conduct campus rounds to ensure safety and operation.
