Job summary

PM Hotel Group’s Cambria Portland Pearl Hotel is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to service and repair hotel equipment across kitchen, laundry, HVAC, electrical and guest areas. You will juggle many tasks, prioritise safety, and keep downtime to a minimum while providing reliable service to guests and colleagues.

You’ll work hands-on with electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems, perform inspections, and assist with building security and maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year trade-related training or experience in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, or building maintenance.
• Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools is expected.

Responsibilities

• Repair electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment with minimal downtime.
• Install and replace light fixtures and bulbs.
• Conduct scheduled inspections and fix equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Ensure safe handling and storage of chemicals and hazardous materials and complete required reporting.
• Secure the building as needed, monitor security systems, repair locks and manage keys.
