Job summary

United States Cold Storage, Inc. is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to support the Wilmington, IL facility's engineering department. Responsibilities include painting, battery maintenance, preventive maintenance, and safe operation in a cold environment.

The role requires lifting, climbing, and teamwork to ensure facility reliability. The ideal candidate will have basic maintenance experience, familiarity with hand and power tools, and a willingness to learn refrigeration tasks

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Experience with general hand and power tools preferred.
• Preventive maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide general support to the maintenance department and assist as needed.
• Maintain professionalism and foster collaboration with facility management.
• Complete painting tasks and work at heights in cold environments.
• Maintain and replace forklift batteries and perform routine inspections.
• Execute routine preventive maintenance tasks and inspect safety equipment.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and work orders.
• Participate in training for equipment and assist with entry-level refrigeration tasks as trained.
