Job summary

United States Cold Storage, Inc. is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician in our Engineering department. The role focuses on proactive maintenance, refrigeration systems, and powered equipment to keep the facility safe and productive.

Responsibilities include electrical troubleshooting, welding, HVAC and plumbing tasks, and ensuring logs and safety standards are met. Candidates with RETA courses and 2–5 years in PRW environments are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Continuing education in RETA or industry courses preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in PRW and industrial refrigeration systems (e.g., anhydrous ammonia).
• Proficient in building and equipment maintenance.
• Moderate electrical, HVAC, welding, or plumbing knowledge.
• Knowledge of material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, batteries).
• Knowledge of refrigeration control systems, microprocessors, and asset management (e.g., Infor EAM).
• Knowledge of mechanics and mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

• Maximize equipment uptime and support facility operations through proactive maintenance.
• Provide cross-functional support to the maintenance team for continuity of operations.
• Perform maintenance and repair on powered industrial trucks.
• Apply electrical troubleshooting to diagnose and repair equipment failures.
• Execute welding, cutting, and metal fabrication for repairs.
• Conduct routine building maintenance for a safe, functional workplace.
• Monitor refrigeration logs to ensure compliance and safety.
