Job summary
United States Cold Storage in Minooka, IL is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to keep cold chain facilities running. You will diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues, perform preventive maintenance, and repair powered industrial equipment.
The ideal candidate has 3–5 years refrigeration experience, strong reading of schematics, welding and electrical knowledge, and Hazmat training.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of refrigeration experience strongly preferred.
- Highly skilled in building and equipment maintenance as well as troubleshooting.
- Proficient electrical and welding knowledge.
- HAZMAT trained.
- Skilled in all aspects of refrigeration, including reading electrical ladder diagrams.
Responsibilities
- Ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability through advanced troubleshooting, predictive maintenance strategies, and timely repair of facility systems and equipment.
- Independently diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration system issues, utilizing root cause analysis to prevent repeat failures.
- Perform and oversee general facility maintenance, including dock equipment, warehouse doors, plumbing systems, and other warehouse systems, ensuring all assets are maintained to a high operational standard.
- Apply advanced electrical knowledge, including reading schematics and testing components, to diagnose, repair, and improve equipment performance.
