Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Maintenance Tech 2 to execute a preventative maintenance program and troubleshoot building and material handling systems. You will support Operations by designing maintenance solutions and helping to meet department goals, ensuring safe operations and reliable equipment.

Candidates should have 3+ years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems and building maintenance, with strong tool knowledge and PLC familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems and building maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of power tools, pneumatic, or hydraulic tools.
• Basic knowledge of controls systems & PLCs (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair material handling systems & conveyors.
• Diagnose using test equipment electrical and electronic control systems and related components.
• Maintain and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components.
• Safely operate equipment: forklifts, scissor and boom lifts, hand tools.
• Lead preventative maintenance procedures.
• Assist in leading training plans for service technicians.
• Create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance and parts used.
• Maintain positive working relationships across departments.
