Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Facilities Tech II to execute preventative maintenance and troubleshoot building and material handling systems. You will support the Operations team by designing maintenance solutions and helping to meet department goals.

The role requires hands-on experience with conveyors, electrical systems, and power tools, plus strong communication. You may lift up to 49 lbs and work up to 12-hour shifts with potential OT.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems, and building maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of power tools, pneumatic, or hydraulic tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of controls systems & PLCs (preferred).
• Robotics knowledge (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair all aspects of material handling systems & conveyors.
• Diagnose electrical and electronic control systems using test equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, and control components.
• Safely operate forklifts and lifts to perform system tasks.
• Lead preventative maintenance procedures.
• Assist in leading training plans for service technicians.
• Create and close out work orders with labor hours and parts used.
• Maintain positive relationships across departments.
• Move up to 49 lbs and work up to 12-hour shifts.
