Job summary

The Maintenance Technician at Amcor in Jackson, MS is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving plant equipment and facility systems to support safe and efficient operations. You will work closely with production, quality and maintenance teams to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment.

Qualifications

• Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.
• Capable of reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Capable of lifting up to 35lbs.
• Capable of complying with all Safety requirements including PPE usage.
• Capable of maintaining an attendance record within Company guidelines and working required overtime.

Responsibilities

• Report to front line leadership of Lead Technician.
• Work as a team member to obtain plant & departmental goals.
• Maintain all Plant Equipment and Facilities including production, quality, scrap, housekeeping and safety results on the shift.
• Perform PM’s, cleans and lubricates molding machines and equipment.
• Modifies, repairs, and rebuilds plant machinery and equipment.
• Performs mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair.
