Job summary

GDI Integrated Facility Services in Rockford, IL seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform routine inspection and testing of equipment, plan repairs, and maintain electrical systems as part of daily building upkeep.

The role also includes preventative maintenance, general maintenance tasks, inventory record-keeping, and requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test equipment and machinery to ensure standards.

• Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, carpentry.

Shifts Available

Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

Essential Duties

• Routine inspection and testing of equipment and machinery to ensure everything is up to standard
• Plan and schedule maintenance repairs
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels)
• Perform routine maintenance around building
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures
• Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry
• Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies
