Job summary

Johnson & Johnson’s DePuy Synthes unit in Warsaw, IN seeks a Maintenance Team Lead to drive maintenance planning and staff development in a regulated medical device environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years in manufacturing/engineering with at least 2 years in management, plus strong leadership and problem-solving skills. English fluency and willingness to work various shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in manufacturing and/or engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a management level role preferred.
• Experience in regulated industries such as Medical Device preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities including confidence, transparency, integrity, innovation, passion, patience and tenacity.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills; proficient with Microsoft Office, Minitab, and databases.
• Willing to support all production shifts.
• Experience with Maximo Asset Management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Delegates and supervises work performed by staff.
• Establishes and manages work schedules; develops maintenance plans, schedules, and resources.
• Supervises, mentors, develops, evaluates, and coaches staff.
• Implements performance improvement plans as needed.
• Provides input to and manages department budget; reviews expenses and implements cost controls.
• Obtains and evaluates bids from vendors.
• Oversees quality and safety of work and timely completion of contracts.
• Ensures compliance with health, safety and environmental practices.
• Communicates business issues or opportunities to next management level.
• Performs other duties as needed.
