Job summary

Franklin Group is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team, manage inventories, and coordinate upkeep for the community. The role requires scheduling, training, safety compliance, and active supervision of staff and vendors.

Ideal candidates will have a GED or higher, 3–5 years of related experience, and HVAC certification. A valid driver’s license is required for daily site activities and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Requires a GED or high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of related maintenance/ supervisory experience.
• HVAC certification required; CAMT recommended.
• Fair Housing Certification within 1 day of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversees inventory, ordering and delivery of supplies for maintenance, custodial and grounds teams.
• Responds promptly to work orders and prepares make-readies.
• Schedules and performs preventative maintenance.
• Ensures OSHA standards and company safety policies are followed.
• Supervises in-house and vendor work and coordinates with Community Manager.
• Interviews and trains maintenance staff; supports discipline and promotions.
• Maintains vendor communications and CERT of insurance for contractors.
