Job summary

Madison Communities is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead on-site maintenance operations across our properties. You will manage a team, troubleshoot electrical, plumbing and carpentry challenges, and oversee budgets to keep operations efficient and within guidelines.

The role rewards hands-on leadership, collaboration with property management, and a commitment to safety and resident satisfaction. EPA and CPO certifications are required, with strong communication skills a must.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and construction.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• EPA Certification and Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification (required).
• Strong supervisory experience, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a resident-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of property maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Plan and oversee the maintenance budget, ensuring operations stay within financial guidelines.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe shop areas, with adequate levels of replacement parts and tools.
• Recruit, train, and supervise a skilled maintenance team, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
• Collaborate with property management to ensure the smooth operation of maintenance activities.
• Respond quickly to emergency maintenance needs to minimize disruptions for residents.
• Lead by example to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
