Job summary

Madison Communities in Apex, NC is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to keep our apartment communities running smoothly. You’ll lead a team of technicians, troubleshoot electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems, and ensure safety and quality in daily operations.

You’ll plan maintenance activities, manage a budget, recruit and train staff, and collaborate with property management to minimize disruptions for residents.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and construction.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of property maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Plan and oversee the maintenance budget, ensuring operations stay within financial guidelines.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe shop areas, with adequate levels of replacement parts and tools.
• Recruit, train, and supervise a skilled maintenance team, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
• Collaborate with property management to ensure the smooth operation of maintenance activities.
• Respond quickly to emergency maintenance needs to minimize disruptions for residents.
• Lead by example to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
