Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to manage and perform technical repairs across community buildings, grounds, and amenities. This role ensures cleanliness, safety, and functionality in line with Greystar standards.

Responsibilities include responding to resident requests, completing make-ready tasks for vacant units, and conducting preventative maintenance. Candidates should have a high school diploma or related experience, strong customer service, and basic tool proficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents and teammates.
• Proficiency in handling tools and basic electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to identify and resolve problems.

Responsibilities

• Responds to resident service requests and performs routine upkeep while diagnosing issues.
• Manages make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and coordinating vendors.
• Establishes standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds and interiors to reflect Greystar quality.
• Inspects work by others and by contractors to ensure quality and compliance with policies.
• Maintains inventory of parts and materials; assists in budgeting for repairs.
• Performs monthly preventative maintenance per policy; supports cost-control initiatives.
• Assists in developing budgets for repairs and capital projects; supports safety compliance.
