Job summary

Greystar is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring community buildings, grounds, and amenities meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Responsibilities include handling work orders, make-ready tasks, inspections, and coordinating with vendors, while maintaining safety and budget awareness in a community setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools and measuring devices.
• Strong reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in computer basics and property management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects, perform repairs, and maintain common areas per policy and code requirements.
• Oversee make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing; create punch lists and schedule vendors.
• Maintain grounds, building exteriors, interiors, signage, and parking areas to Greystar standards.
• Periodically inspect work and contractors to ensure quality and adherence to scope.
• Manage inventory and coordinate with Community Manager on budget and supplies.
• Conduct safety meetings and stay compliant with OSHA and safety laws.
