Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service a multifamily community in Portland, Oregon. You will handle resident work orders, perform repairs, and oversee make-ready tasks for vacant units. The role requires safety-focused practice, quality workmanship, and coordination with vendors.

Responsibilities include maintaining grounds and building exteriors to Greystar standards, inspecting work for quality, and managing maintenance inventories within budgetary guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related experience accepted.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and maintain basic tools.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, write, and clearly communicate policies and procedures.
• Experience with property management maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders and diagnose issues to perform repairs.
• Oversee make-ready processes for vacant units and coordinate vendors.
• Maintain community grounds, exteriors, and common areas to Greystar standards.
• Inspect work by others and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Manage inventory of maintenance parts and stay within budget.
