Job summary

Greystar is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician in Portland, OR to perform technical and mechanical tasks ensuring buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

The role involves diagnosing resident requests, executing repairs, managing make-ready processes, and maintaining budget-conscious operations with a strong emphasis on safety and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; related experience ok.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal certifications may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required to operate golf cart on property, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose issues from resident service requests and perform repairs per policies and safety standards.
• Manage and complete the make-ready process for vacant units, inspect, schedule vendors, and ensure timely turnover.
• Set standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, and common areas reflecting Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work by team members and contractors to ensure quality and compliance with specs.
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies and assist in budgeting for repairs and maintenance.
