Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Portland-area community. This role performs technical and mechanical tasks to ensure buildings, grounds, and amenities meet Greystar standards for cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality.

You will diagnose issues from resident requests, complete make-ready work for vacant units, and oversee vendor crews to maintain high-quality living spaces. The role requires EPA HVAC certification and a valid driver’s license, with bilingual

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related experience.
• Experience in property maintenance or building maintenance.
• EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal required for HVAC work.
• Valid driver’s license to operate golf cart or vehicles on property.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and diagnose defects.
• Complete make-ready process for vacant units and inspect pre-move-out items.
• Maintain community grounds, exterior, and common areas to Greystar quality standards.
• Inspect contractor work for quality and compliance with policies and codes.
• Assist in budget development for repairs and capital projects.
• Conduct safety meetings and stay current with OSHA requirements.
