Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. is seeking a Supervisor Maintenance in Dalton, GA to lead the maintenance team and oversee daily operations for building services and equipment. You will manage schedules, safety, and quality while coordinating with other departments to sustain production efficiency.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 4–6 years of relevant work, and 0–2 years in a supervisory capacity. On-site, with exposure to a high-activity production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
• 4-6 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
• 0-2 years of management experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate department-specific functions across shifts, reviewing work orders to meet maintenance priorities.
• Prioritize work, develop daily department schedule, and assign routine and preventive maintenance tasks to improve costs, productivity, quality and safety.
• Ensure adherence to established workflow priorities for timely task completion.
• Verify employee hours worked in Kronos timekeeping system.
• Prepare and develop preventive maintenance programs and related documentation.
• Provide technical support to maintenance crews and project leaders; manage daily activities.
• Maintain machinery in specified functional areas per manufacturer specifications.
• Provide constructive feedback to improve efficiency and working conditions.
• Monitor quality and quantity of work within the department and communicate standards.
• Train, develop, and identify training needs; participate in hiring for the work group.
• Maintain training records for employees.
• Develop and maintain relationships with other departments to address issues affecting production quality; participate in safety activities.
• Lead or work on special projects; oversee contractors to ensure safety and quality compliance.
• Report on PM program execution, equipment uptime, personnel activities, and budget status.
• Inspect daily for cleanliness and conduct weekly safety walk-throughs.
