Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. in Dalton, GA seeks an experienced Electrical Automation Technician to own the functionality, operation, and maintenance of automation controls across the manufacturing process.

You will troubleshoot, install, and upgrade programmable automation equipment and drive systems within a global flooring manufacturing environment. The role requires hands-on expertise with electrical test equipment, PLCs, control networks, and field instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in electrical technology.
• Five+ years' experience repairing, maintaining, and installing electrical equipment/systems.
• Ability to read/interpret technical manuals and publications.
• Proficiency with CAD, ladder logic software, HMI development software; knowledge of electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and install electrical and process control systems.
• Troubleshoot, install, or replace programmable automation and controls equipment.
• Troubleshoot VFDs and integrate into existing systems.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing operations.
• Read electrical schematics and blueprints; understand ladder logic programming.
