Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician in St. Louis, MO. You will respond to resident work orders, perform routine upkeep, and manage the make-ready process for vacant units, ensuring all tasks meet Greystar safety and quality standards.

You will inspect work, manage supply inventory, and support budget development. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required; EPA certifications may apply.Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Incumbents must provide own hand tools and be proficient with hand and power tools.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively for internal and external interactions.
• Proficiency with internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs; property management system experience preferred.
• Math skills for basic financial, administrative, and legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Handle work orders from residents and routine upkeep by diagnosing defects and performing repairs per policies and safety standards.
• Oversee and complete the make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and scheduling contractors.
• Set standards for cleanliness and appearance of the community and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work by other team members and contractors; take corrective action as needed.
• Inspect contractor work to ensure quality and compliance with scope and specs.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and coordinate with Community Manager to reorder supplies within budget.
• Complete monthly preventive maintenance procedures.
• Assist Community Manager in developing budgets for regular repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing where feasible; use tools and materials efficiently.
• Conduct safety meetings, keep MSDS current, and stay updated on OSHA and safety laws.
