Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance team and ensure upkeep of the property, buildings, and grounds. Responsibilities include scheduling tasks, interviewing and training staff, supervising vendors, and maintaining safety standards, with 24-hour on-call coverage.

Ideal candidates have HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge, strong communication, and supervisory experience; property maintenance experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Effective communication skills.
• Property maintenance/handyman experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule daily maintenance tasks including preparing vacant units for occupancy and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with interviewing, screening, and recommendations for service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Assist in training of all service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Take initiative to improve processes and maintenance methods.
• Maintain MSDS sheets and replacement logs.
• Ensure OSHA safety standards are complied with at all times.
• Handle lock-outs due to evictions and 24-hour response to service requests.
• Be available to work on an on-call basis.
