Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team, perform daily tasks, and oversee upkeep of buildings and grounds in a property management setting.

Responsibilities include interviewing staff, training, supervising vendors, ensuring safety standards, and managing inventory and tools. On-call availability and a proactive attitude are required.

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing and electrical knowledge is required
• Self-motivated with attention to detail
• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools
• Maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts
• Property maintenance/handyman experience
• Supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule daily maintenance tasks including preparing vacant units for occupancy and preventative maintenance
• Assist with interviewing, screening, and recommending personnel for service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds duties
• Assist in training of service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment
• Improve maintenance processes and methods
• Maintain MSDS sheets and replacement logs
• Ensure team meets attendance expectations
• Schedule and assist in supervising vendor work
• Oversee inventory, ordering, and delivery of supplies for service, custodial and grounds
• Ensure OSHA and company safety policies are followed
• Handle lock-outs and 24-hour response to service requests
• Be available on-call
• Report unusual circumstances to management
• Remove snow and ice as needed
• Ensure necessary tools are on hand
