Job summary

Equity LifeStyle Properties, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for a Winterhaven, CA community. You’ll lead a maintenance team, perform hands-on trades (plumbing, carpentry, HVAC) and ensure adherence to company standards.

You’ll interview, train and review staff, manage work orders and budgets, inspect properties, and handle on-call emergencies while keeping guests satisfied and safe. The role emphasizes professional communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of direct technical work experience in plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with heavy equipment.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record and current auto insurance.
• Willing to be on call for emergencies that arise after hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of maintenance staff and ensure safe work practices.
• Interview candidates, train new employees, conduct performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document findings in a maintenance log.
• Review and delegate work orders in a timely manner.
• Conduct regular property inspections.
• Monitor community equipment and ensure proper maintenance.
• Ensure service requests are handled promptly and courteously.
• Assist with the annual maintenance budget and capital expenditures.
• Operate within approved budget and allocate funds accordingly.
• Communicate professionally with management and staff.
• Respond to guest concerns with respect and courtesy.
• Participate in training programs and community activities.
• Assist with capital improvement projects and special maintenance tasks.
• Perform on-call emergency services as required.
• Represent the community in a professional manner.
