Job summary

Equity LifeStyle Properties in Winterhaven, CA, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team, handle plumbing, carpentry, HVAC and appliance repairs, and uphold high community maintenance standards.

You will interview and train staff, delegate work orders, perform regular inspections, and assist with budgeting for maintenance and capital projects. Strong leadership and technical skills are essential for this on-site role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of direct technical work in plumbing, carpentry, HVAC.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with heavy equipment.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record and current auto insurance.
• Willing to be on call for emergencies after hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of maintenance staff and ensure safe work practices.
• Interview job candidates, train new employees, conduct performance reviews and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Review and delegate work orders in a timely manner; maintain maintenance logs.
• Conduct regular property inspections and monitor equipment like water heaters and HVAC units.
• Assist with annual budget planning for maintenance and capital expenditures.
• Perform on-call emergency services as required.
• Represent the community in a professional manner.
