Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the Tomball area to oversee and perform technical maintenance across indoor and outdoor community spaces. You will handle work orders, manage the make-ready process, and ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality in resident-facing areas.

You will inspect work by staff and vendors, manage inventory, assist with budgeting, and lead safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively for management support.
• Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheet and database management.
• Mathematical skills for financial, administrative, and legal documents.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal certifications for HVAC work; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep.
• Oversee make-ready process: inspections, punch list, scheduling, and purchases.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds and buildings.
• Periodically inspect work by service team and contractors for quality.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and order supplies within budget.
• Complete monthly preventative maintenance procedures.
• Assist in budgeting for regular repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-cutting and efficient use of parts and tools.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure OSHA/MSDS compliance.
