Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure facility equipment functions efficiently and to identify process improvements. The role includes overseeing all shifts, preventive maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance, with on-the-job training provided and overtime as needed.

You will diagnose issues, manage maintenance budgets, and mentor technicians, with required experience reading blueprints, wiring, and electrical/mechanical components.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required/preferred.
• Technical degree preferred for maintenance roles.
• 3+ years repairing industrial processing equipment in production.
• 2+ years supervising maintenance personnel preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints and schematics is required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical/electrical problems and determine corrective actions.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Follow blueprints and specs using a maintenance schedule.
• Oversee safety, regulatory, and environmental compliance in maintenance.
• Manage budget, parts, and vendor relationships for maintenance.
