Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure facility equipment runs efficiently and drive process improvements. This role oversees maintenance staff, plans budgets, and ensures safety and regulatory compliance.

The position requires hands-on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and staff development in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will lead a team, coordinate with production, and drive training initiatives while maintaining schedule

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• 3+ years repairing industrial processing equipment.
• 2+ years supervising maintenance personnel preferred.
• Maintenance administration including planning, scheduling, budgeting, parts management required.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics and English maintenance literature.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems from blueprints, schematics, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Follow blueprints and manuals using a documented schedule.
• Monitor and adjust boiler chemical and wastewater testing results.
