Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor II (Elec. Equip.) to support NYC Transit Radio and Security Systems. The role focuses on designing and delivering training, developing maintenance procedures, and leading Level I Supervisors to ensure safe, reliable 24/7 operations.

The position oversees Radio, CCTV, and Security system activities, manages projects, and supports in-house contracts and storerooms while ordering materials as needed.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of full-time satisfactory experience in the maintenance department of a major railroad or transit authority repairing and maintaining electronic communication or control systems; at least one (1) year of this experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.
• Experience conducting training on Radio, CCTV, Security and Network equipment.
• Experience creating preventive and remedial maintenance procedures.
• Strong knowledge of electronic components, test equipment, procedures, and EAM database.

Responsibilities

• Design, schedule, and conduct training on Radio, CCTV and Security systems.
• Develop preventive and remedial maintenance procedures.
• Supervise in-house installations and storerooms; order materials and equipment.
• Provide supervisory oversight to Level I Supervisors to ensure safe, 24/7 operations.
