Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is seeking a Supervisor, Metro Plant Maintenance to direct and coordinate day‑to‑day maintenance services across the MTA metro facilities. The Supervisor will manage staffing, scheduling, procurement, and oversee repair, maintenance, service, cleaning, installation, inspection, testing, and operation of electro‑mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, fire management systems, deluge, station ventilation, intrusion detection, and related equipment. The role includes supervising repairmen, janitors, and contract employees, working variable shifts (including evenings, nights, and weekends) and traveling to various MTA locations as required.
Employees must adhere to all safety rules, policies, regulations, and personal protective equipment requirements. They may attend safety meetings and must report hazards, unsafe acts, near misses, injuries, and accidents promptly to the Office of Safety and supervision. Violations of safety rules or negligent behavior may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
