Job summary

Windward Communities is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the Spring Lake community in Stevensville, MI. You will oversee routine and preventative maintenance, manage the maintenance team, and coordinate with vendors to complete projects on time.

Responsibilities include supervising contracts, keeping grounds pristine, maintaining pools and facilities, performing minor repairs, and ensuring safety and on-call responsiveness as needed.

Qualifications

• A High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years with grounds and maintenance experience.
• A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and automobile insurance.
• Knowledge of general maintenance techniques and repair work.
• Ability to endure seasonal outdoor work.
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and grounds maintenance.
• Proficient with hand tools, power equipment and machinery.
• Ability to provide legible written reports.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Basic computer proficiency with email and internet.
• On-call availability for community needs.

Responsibilities

• Handles project bids and collaborates with contractors on projects.
• Supervises maintenance staff and updates Community Manager on activities.
• Manages maintenance staff day-to-day and special projects.
• Keeps community presentable and adheres to curb appeal standards.
• Manages grounds care and seasonal landscaping tasks.
• Removes trash daily from common areas and streets.
• Performs minor repairs to rental homes and facilities.
• Cleans clubhouse, offices, restrooms and maintenance buildings.
• Maintains vacant sites and inspects facilities prior to occupancy.
• Oversees service contractors and inspects recreational amenities.
• Removes snow and manages safety during winter operations.
