Tyson Foods, in the Prepared Foods Division, is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor for the 3rd shift. You will lead a team of maintenance technicians to keep production safe, efficient, and reliable.

The role requires hands-on leadership, preventive maintenance oversight, and strong problem-solving skills. Responsibilities include directing maintenance policy, reducing downtime, and ensuring adherence to SQF and GMP practices while fostering a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as maintenance technician or closely related role with leadership experience.
• Associate’s degree or relevant certificate in a related field preferred for manufacturing environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to train and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct maintenance technicians, fostering a well-trained and motivated team.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in directing policies and procedures while maintaining safety and a clean environment.
• Manage and oversee preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment.

Shift: 3rd

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, weekends and overtime as‑needed to support operations. Additional compensation is provided for the 6th and 7th workdays.

Hours: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM/end of shift (flex as needed).

SUMMARY : As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a critical role in keeping production running safely, efficiently, and reliably.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and direct maintenance technicians, fostering a well‑trained and motivated team.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in directing and coordinating maintenance policies and procedures while maintaining a safe and clean environment.
• Manage and oversee preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment.
• Quickly assess problems to minimize production downtime.
• Maintain knowledge of SQF Quality Management policies and procedures along with GMP practices.
• Ensure all maintenance staff understand and follow company policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience and Education

• Experience: 3+yearsas a maintenancetechnicianor closely relatedrole.Experience in directing,evaluatingand training maintenance technicianspreferred.
• Education: Associate’s degree or relevant college certificate in a related field is preferred, along with hands‑on experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment.

Communication Skills

• Proficient in verbal communication, with the ability to listen, understand, and articulate ideas effectively.
• Strong written communication skills for clear expression and comprehension of ideas and concepts.

Computer Skills

• Basic PLC experience required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; experience with SAP is a plus.

Qualifications and Skills

• Leadership and Technical Skills: Ability and experience in leading, directing, evaluating, and training a team of maintenance technicians. Skilled in measuring, monitoring, and reducing machine downtime, and diagnosing basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and electronic (PLC) issues, with the capacity to direct or assist in repairs.
• Preventive Maintenance and Safety: Capable of promoting a “Safety First” culture among staff and developing/maintaining an effective preventive maintenance program for equipment and plant.

Additional Requirements

• Availability for some weekend work as needed.
