Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our Prepared Foods location. You will oversee maintenance technicians, working with the Maintenance Manager to implement policies and ensure a safe, clean plant environment.

You will lead preventive maintenance and repairs, reduce downtime, and ensure adherence to SQF and GMP standards. Weekend availability may be required; relocation is not specified. Please note benefits begin day one.

Qualifications

• Leadership and technical ability to lead, direct, evaluate and train a team of maintenance technicians.
• Ability to measure, monitor and reduce machine downtime and diagnose basic PLC/electrical/mechanical issues.
• Promote and maintain a Safety First culture and a preventive maintenance program.
• 3+ years as a maintenance technician or related role; leadership experience preferred.
• Associate degree or relevant certificate; hands-on experience in manufacturing.

Shift: 3rd Schedule: Monday - Friday, Saturday and Sundays as‑needed to support operations. Additional compensation is provided for the 6th and 7th workdays. Hours: 10:30 PM – 7:30 AM/end of shift (flex as needed). Occasional after-hours work may also be needed to support operations.

SUMMARY

This location is part of our Prepared Foods Division. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant maintenance, including leading and directing maintenance technicians. You will work closely with the Maintenance Manager to implement maintenance policies and procedures while ensuring a safe and clean environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications and Skills:

• Leadership and Technical Skills: Ability and experience in leading, directing, evaluating, and training a team of maintenance technicians.
• Skilled in measuring, monitoring, and reducing machine downtime, and diagnosing basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and electronic (PLC) issues, with the capacity to direct or assist in repairs.
• Preventive Maintenance and Safety: Capable of promoting a “Safety First” culture among staff and developing/maintaining an effective preventive maintenance program for equipment and plant.
• Experience and Education: 3+ years as a maintenance technician or closely related role. Experience in directing, evaluating and training maintenance technicians preferred.
• Education: Associate's degree or relevant college certificate in a related field is preferred, along with hands‑on experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Communication Skills: Proficient in verbal communication, with the ability to listen, understand, and articulate ideas effectively.
• Strong written communication skills for clear expression and comprehension of ideas and concepts.
• Computer Skills: Basic PLC experience required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; experience with SAP is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

• Availability for some weekend work as needed.
