Job summary

Chart Industries in Tulsa, OK seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance department, manage parts inventory and training, and drive Preventive and Predictive maintenance to maximize up-time. The role requires leadership, budgeting skills and experience with facility systems.

Responsibilities include coordinating vendor work, scheduling repairs, ensuring safety, and maintaining equipment reliability across plant operations. A relevant degree and 5+ years experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or specialized training beyond high school preferred.
  • 5+ years of maintenance, mechanical/electrical repair and troubleshooting with leadership experience.
  • PLC and CNC experience.
  • Proven ability to implement and execute preventative maintenance and uptime improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all activities of the maintenance department and manage budgets and repair timing.
  • Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
  • Schedule, train, supervise and motivate maintenance staff.
  • Coordinate work performed by outside vendors.
  • Review repair estimates and optimize repair schedules.
  • Control and monitor inventory of parts and equipment.
  • Ensure safe, compliant grounds and facility maintenance.

Maintenance Supervisor

Primary objective is maximum machinery up-time. Maintenance Supervisor will direct all of the activities of the maintenance department, ensuring appropriate parts inventory and adequate training of all Maintenance associates. Preventative and Predictive maintenance programs will be utilized to minimize down-time. Maintenance Supervisor will be charged with budgets and timing of repairs. Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for all grounds and facility maintenance.

What Will You Do?
  • Accomplishes maintenance human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures
  • Evaluates functionality and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by conferring with operating departments; identifying problems and requirements
  • Maintains function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by implementing a preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts
  • Improves function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by studying performance results; identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal codes and regulations
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications
  • Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  • Schedule, train, supervise and motivate employees for the maintenance department
  • Coordinate work performed by outside vendors
  • Ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates
  • Control and monitor inventory
  • Prioritize the maintenance and repairs of company equipment and parts

Your Experience Should Be...
  • Associate Degree or specialized training beyond high school preferred
  • 5 or more years of prior relevant experience with maintenance, mechanical/electrical repair and/or troubleshooting, and leadership skills
  • PLC and CNC experience
  • Proven ability to implement and execute successful preventative maintenance and increased uptime programs
