The Safety Technician will apply advanced knowledge in maintaining and improving the safety programs. Improves overall workforce safety awareness to include planning, implementing, and coordinating programs to reduce or eliminate occupational injuries and illnesses, violations of federal and state safety regulations, abuse of the workers compensation system, and financial losses from above. Develops, coordinates and provides training regarding safety procedures and compliance issues to improve overall safety awareness.

The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus; ability to distinguish color helpful but not required. Must be able to work a minimum than eight hours per day and five days per week. Must be able to work in non-temperature-controlled environment.

Due to the use of heavy machinery, power tools, and exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, the role requires heightened awareness and adherence to all safety protocols.
