Maintenance Supervisor

Transdev in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of our diesel technician team, ensuring the timely and efficient diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of diesel vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Location: South Yard – 2225 W Lower Buckeye Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85009

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive compensation package of $73,000 - $87,000 yearly salary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with scheduling employees for the department and train and coach mechanics.
  • Monitor daily accident reports to establish efficient repair schedules; inspect damaged units to estimate cost and time required for repairs.
  • Establish priority of maintenance and repairs based on availability of materials and parts and requirements of scheduled operations.
  • Help ensure that company and client equipment is maintained and operating efficiently.
  • Control and monitor inventory; in the absence of Parts staff, examine worn or damaged parts and make recommendations for repair/replacement to management.
  • Ensure that all vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and properly working.
  • Implement safety policies and procedures for the department; maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure that property, grounds, and facilities are clean and well organized.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a diesel technician, with demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • Employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
  • Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
