Job summary

Saige Partners in the Midwest is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead and coordinate maintenance activities in a manufacturing environment. This role oversees maintenance personnel, ensures equipment reliability, supports production goals, and promotes a safe, efficient, and well-organized work environment.

  • Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, direct, and support maintenance technicians and other maintenance personnel.
  • Coordinate daily maintenance activities and prioritize work based on production needs and equipment conditions.
  • Oversee maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and assist with complex equipment repairs.
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, downtime, parts usage, and equipment history.
  • Coordinate planned maintenance, emergency repairs, and equipment installations.
  • Work with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other departments to address equipment and process issues.
  • Assist with developing maintenance procedures, PM schedules, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure maintenance work is performed safely and in accordance with lockout/tagout requirements.
  • Maintain inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and maintaining PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Support installation, modification, and commissioning of new or upgraded manufacturing equipment.
  • Track maintenance metrics and use data to identify recurring problems and improvements.
  • Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective action for recurring failures.
  • Train, coach, and develop maintenance employees while promoting accountability and teamwork.
  • Ensure maintenance activities meet applicable safety, quality, and operational standards.
  • Assist with budgeting, contractor coordination, and maintenance planning as needed.
