Job summary

Carpenter Technology Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance staff and ensure safe, efficient operations at the Latrobe facility in the United States.

You will plan, schedule, and execute maintenance tasks, address performance issues, and promote company policies while coordinating with departments to meet production goals.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Two-year college degree preferred.
  • Two years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/operational environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision, guidance, and direction to maintenance staff.
  • Address performance issues promptly and uphold safety plans and results.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute maintenance operations within area of responsibility.
  • Maintain productive shop floor environments and clear communication with employees.
  • Collaborate with others to achieve department and company goals.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Maintenance Supervisor
Responsibilities
  • Provide maintenance employees with guidance, direction, and supervision in support of departmental operations.
  • Promptly address performance issues.
  • Actively promote all company policies and expectations, especially in support of safety plans and results.
  • Plan, schedule and execute maintenance operations within assigned area of responsibility.
  • Maintain a positive work environment by regularly communicating with employees on the shop floor and responding to employee issues and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Maintain well‑organized and productive work areas.
  • Work with others to achieve department and company goals and objectives.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Two‑year college degree preferred.
  • Two years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/operational environment preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience troubleshooting industrial automation (instruments, electrical drives and PLCs).
  • Practical understanding of industrial/maintenance principles, standards, methods and practices.
  • Knowledge of disciplined problem‑solving methods.
  • Flexibility in terms of shift assignments and/or rotations, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work extensive hours in support of continuous operations.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, Work and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem‑solving skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced and ever‑changing work environment.
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to work with associates at various levels of management.
