Job summary

Professional Placement Services in La Puente, CA seeks a hands-on maintenance leader to run a 12-18 technician team across 3 shifts in a heavy manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities include scheduling, supervising repairs, implementing preventative maintenance, training staff, managing vendors, and supporting plant projects. Fluency in English and Spanish beneficial. Reports to Plant Engineering and Plant Manager with strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or certifications in industrial maintenance, electrical or mechanical disciplines.
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in maintenance leadership, planning and execution.
• Welding and fabricating experience.
• Refractory and furnace lining knowledge.
• Electrical and electronic controls troubleshooting and/or programming.
• Combustion processes, burners, valve trains, temperature controllers.
• Mobile equipment including forklifts, wheel loaders.
• Material handling, conveyors.
• Ventilation systems with 50-250 HP motor Bag houses (dust collectors).
• Strong leadership and people development history.
• Safety-focused with active employee involvement.
• Training and developing employees.
• Computer literate and proficient with MS Office, etc.
• Preventive Maintenance experience – maintaining a working system.
• English and Spanish language fluency.

• Assist in the managing of vendors, contractors, equipment and spare parts for the plant.
• Position reports to the Plant Engineering & Plant Manager.

Required Qualifications
