Job summary

Marquette Management, Inc. is seeking a Service Manager to oversee maintenance operations and ensure residents have a clean, well-maintained living environment.

You will manage repairs, prepare vacant units, coordinate snow and trash removal, and handle long-term upkeep of common areas. Strong leadership, customer service, and basic computer skills are required; HVAC certification and experience with plumbing and electrical work are a plus.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in apartment or hotel industry.
• Leadership and customer service skills, plus general computer knowledge.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, appliances, and apartment turns.
• HVAC or EPA Universal Certification is a plus; on-call availability and weekend flexibility is also a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs to apartments and common areas.
• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy.
• Handle snow removal, trash removal, and other outdoor maintenance.
• Conduct emergency repairs, cleaning and landscaping as needed.
• Order maintenance equipment and supplies, maintain records and accept deliveries.

Job description

The Service Manager position plays a key role in effectively accomplishing the goal of providing residents with a clean, well maintained living environment. To accomplish this goal, the responsibilities of the maintenance department include, but are not limited to, general repairs to the apartments and common areas of the buildings and grounds, vacant apartment preparation, snow and trash removal, emergency repairs, cleaning, landscaping, ordering maintenance equipment and supplies, record keeping, accepting deliveries, moving appliances and other job related duties.

Requirements

The Service Manager must have previous maintenance experience, preferably in the apartment or hotel industry, as well as excellent Leadership, customer service skills and general computer knowledge. Candidate should have experience with plumbing, electrical, appliances, and apartment turns.

HVAC or EPA Universal Certification is a plus! Availability for on-call purposes and the flexibility and ability to work weekends when necessary is also a plus!
