Job summary

Air Products seeks a Maintenance Superintendent to lead maintenance for La Porte sites, driving safe, reliable operations and cost-effective execution across multiple assets. You will coach teams, shape maintenance strategies, and deliver strong asset performance.

The role emphasizes safety leadership, accountability, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with Operations and Plant Leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of experience within petrochemical, industrial gas, refining, chemical manufacturing, maintenance, or operations environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Strong knowledge of SAP maintenance systems; ability to train others.

Responsibilities

• Lead and champion a strong safety culture; ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Direct day-to-day maintenance activities, turnaround execution, and outage recovery for reliability.
• Develop and review maintenance work schedules with clear execution plans.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and hands-on technical guidance to maintenance personnel and contractors.
• Evaluate employee performance and build succession plans to strengthen capability.
• Partner with Operations and Plant Leadership to set maintenance priorities.
• Drive continuous improvement in maintenance processes, reliability, productivity, and cost.
• Support capital projects, turnarounds, budgeting, and long-term planning.
